Gone
Hi I’m Mary and I would like to tell you a true story that happened two days ago. Me, my big sister Sally and my little brother Joe were playing outside. Well at least Joe and I were playing. Sally was just standing there. I looked away because I was trying to beat my pull up record. Sally disappeared. Joe and I looked around and couldn’t find her so we went inside.
She was nowhere to be found. My dad was sitting on the couch then he disappeared. We thought he went back to work but he always tells us where he is going. Something strange is going on.
Mom and I ate lunch but it was weird without dad and Sally. We went out looking for Sally and dad. We had no luck so we went back home. We got home and there he was, dad, sitting on the couch where he was before he disappeared. I asked him where he went. He said he fell asleep and woke up in the car which was in a different state. I wrote everything down that he said. He also said that he fell back asleep then woke up on the couch. Nothing was making sense.
Joe and I went back outside and we were very scared. I started to try to beat my pull up record, but I couldn’t. I fell, then I looked up and there was Sally standing in the same spot as when she disappeared. I ran up and hugged her.
She pushed me away and said “why are you hugging me?”
I said “ because you have been missing for hours don’t you remember.”
I bring Sally inside and mom squeezes her. Mom and I sat down and started to think. Then I realized it was the water! It wasn’t making sense Joe also drank the water. I looked outside and Joe was gone. I walked over to the water on the counter. I dumped it out in the sink. Then Joe appeared immediately after I dumped out the water.
My whole family got in the car and drove over to the store where we got the water. We bought all of it. Then we drove home. Joe got so thirsty and we had no water, only the water we bought. He drank the water and nothing happened.
We were in the car for 3 hours by the time we got home. Joe didn’t disappear when he drank the water Last time Joe disappeared within two hours.We didn’t let Joe out of our sight.
It has been 3 more hours and nothing happened so it wasn’t the water. I went where they had disappeared. Nothing was there until I looked down. There was a rock. I moved the rock and there it was, the answer to the question. A hole big enough to fit me inside. I jumped in and I found myself in a hallway. The hallway was black, I could not see anything except a flashing red light. I went towards the red light and there was a man. I spun his chair around and grabbed his hands and asked him questions.
I asked him if he was a part of the disappearance of my family and he said yes. I asked him how they are disappearing.
He said “there were three chips in the water. Your family drank the chips, and it put them to sleep. Then my boss told me to grab them while they were sleeping. You can’t tell him I told you.”
I went back up the hole and into my house. I had to hide the hole somehow. I went into the garage and found fake grass, took the grass, got some dirt, and covered the hole. it looks normal, I thought.
My mom walked outside and asked what the big pile of dirt was and I said it was for a plant. I got away with that one. I was surprised because moms know everything!
“BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP”!
Then I heard my mom.
I woke up. I got ready for school.
